For our very first issue of Provocations: drama+dance in education, we invited contributors to reflect on the power and limitations of words. Here is a sampling of the provocations that inspired teachers, artist-educators, and students to share their work with us: How does your practice redefine words, look for the truth behind words, explore the limitations of words? Whose words are heard? Whose words are not heard? Can we speak without words? How might new words, new voices, and new platforms for words disrupt and reframe what we think we know?
